Oklahoma City School District chooses its teacher of the year

Shelly Campbell 38 was named the 2011 Oklahoma city public school teacher of the year on Thursday night at the stars of education ceremony at will rogers theatre in Oklahoma city.  She has a very, very strong commitment to our students. And they all love her, said J. Leonard Wright the high school’s principal. All students know that they can count on her for whatever they need.  Her advices the student council leads the senior class project and teaches advanced placement English and ninth and 10^th grade special education classes. One colleague commented on her sheer scope and number of students that Campbell has affected in her 16 years at john Marshall.
