How does Earth Science affect our daily life?

How does Earth Science affect our daily life?
The earth science is branch of science dealing with the constitution of the earth and its atmosphere. The various branches of earth science is geology, oceanography, metrology and astronomy.  The Earth science generally recognize four “sphere” of study of the earth: the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, the atmosphere, and the biosphere, are corresponding to rocks, water, air, and life. Earth science affects our daily life so many ways. First of all, we live on the earth. Our very lives are shaped by it. We take summer breaks when it’s sunniest, we live through hot and cold, dry and wet, and every combination of weather.  We are a prey to it storm, droughts, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes all the earth’s process. While there is very little we can to prevent what the earth does. There of how disasters work, or when they will happen –we might even not know about global warming. Therefore, it affects our life. Earth science affects all our lives. Our landscape has been shaped by natural processes such as tectonics, weathering, and biological activity over billions of years. We use natural materials every day, everything from building stone and oil to metals such as iron, copper and gold, and even diamonds, have all been extracted from the ground.

Ground Zero in Tuscaloosa: Horror and hope, tears and prayers

Ground Zero in Tuscaloosa: Horror and hope, tears and prayers
This event happened in April 29th, 2011 and it was around by 5 p.m. when residents first saw the monster tornado heading toward the heart of this proud southern university town. The destructive force of Mother Nature that day won't ever be forgotten by the 93,000 people who call Tuscaloosa home. That day has united them, through horror and hope, tears and prayers. Everyone was praying and others grabbed video phones. Some field for their lives.  Five year old girl sang out, “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” Bolden chimed in with “Thank you!  In one block radius around blume’s office, he said, at least 15 people were killed.
I am sorry for those who have to go through with tragic event. I have never seen devastation like this. Many people were killed and the tornado picked up a neighbor home. I think most of the people don’t have insurance. Whoever doesn’t have insurance how would pay for their home? Where will they live?  I hope our president do anything about this so people can have some space to stay.

Tulsa Police Say Headless Woman Died Of Natural Causes

Tulsa Police Say Headless Woman Died Of Natural Causes
This happened in January A Tulsa woman's headless body was found inside her home and police believe she may have died in late December or early January. Tulsa Police made the discovery Monday morning in the 5300 block of East 21st Street while checking on the well-being of the 55-year-old woman who had not been seen since Christmas Day. Police say there were several dogs still inside the home and Tulsa Animal Control was called in to remove them. Officers found evidence the dogs had eaten parts of the body. The woman's head was found in another part of the home. It's not clear who called police and asked them to check on the woman. Police believe the woman died of natural causes many weeks ago. Her body has been taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office.
I feel very sad for her but the surprise thing is no one find out about her till February. She had not been seen since Christmas Day. That's almost 2 months ago. I am guessing she did not work and had no family. Neighbors must have noticed the smell thats the reasongs someone called teh police and our pets loves us but when we die we are just a meant for them. This is really bad that there was no one to check on her but 55 age is not an age you would think that someone would have to die like this.

Up to 20,000 homes are now at risk in Brisbane, the Queensland state premier has said, as deadly floodwater surge towards Australia’s third-largest city. Central Brisbane is a ghost town, with electricity cut and thousands urged to either evacuate or stay at home. West of Brisbane, the city of Ipswich is being swamped by flood waters in a situation described as “total chaos”. The death toll from the flash floods in Queensland is 12 so far, with many others reported missing. About 50 people are still missing in the Lockyer Valley, west of Brisbane.
Australian broadcaster ABC reports said that the Brisbane River is now forecast to peak at 5.2m (17ft) in the early hours of Thursday, down from a prediction of 5.5m. The worst affected area was the town of Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, where residents described an “instant inland tsunami” of 8m ripping through the streets on Monday. Overall, Queensland’s flooding has caused billions of dollars in damage and affected 200,000 people. when I read this I can think of japan they had tsunami how did they survive.  In this event it took so many innocent people died.

what is torture?

Torture is "any act by which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted on a person for such purposes as obtaining form him or third person information or a confession, punishing him for an act he or third person has committed or is suspected of having committed, or intimidating or coercing him or a third person, when such pain or suffering is inflicted by or at the instigation of or with the consent.it does not include pain or suffering arising only from, inherent in or incidental to lawful sanctions."Torture is not necessarily morally worse than killing or less preferable than death, though in some instances it may well be. Killing is a violation of the right to life and the right to autonomy. Torture sholud not be allowed for police or other people. I think torture allowed for army when they go for our right to country.

3 men charged in 4-decade-old Massachusetts murder mystery

3 men charged in 4-decade-old Massachusetts murder mystery
Three men have been charged with the murder of a 15 year old boy, potentially bringing a close to a murder mystery more tahn four decades old. a massachusetts prosecutor said on april 15, 2011. Edward A. Brown, 59, Walter Shelley, 60, and Michael Ferreira, 57, face charges surrounding the asphyxiation murder of John McCabe on September 27, 1969, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said in a written statement. They said these charges are the result of an incerdible trun of events in what has been and insolved case for over 40 years. Police fpund the boys body in an abandoned can in september 27, 1969. he had been bound with rope and his mouth was taped shut when they found him. Investigators say McCabe disappeared after leaving a dance at a Knights of Columbus hall in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. His parents reported him missing hours later when he did not arrive home. McCabe was left in the trunk of a car in a deserted field, where he ultimately died and the medical examuiner determined McCabe died from "asphyxia due to strugulation." I think that someone trying to kill him or may be he has some personal problem with his life. i think this is just ignored case because 3 men killed the boy and anyone did not find anything about this.

Why social media can and changing education

Social media is something that has become so established in our culture that we have seen everything from large companies, churches coaches having their own Facebook accounts. Being a student myself, I have experienced first high school to now in college how limited students are getting the right material or the attentions from their teachers. Students definitely get the education they deserve with help of social media. In my English class, we were given our own blogs sites to blog about their thoughts on article they are supposed to read and what was in their mind. I think this experience is great because the teacher would take time to comment back with personal remarks. It helped future communication between students and teachers.

New Surveillance Technology

New Surveillance Technology Security and Surveillance Technology issues have become crucial in a rapidly growing world. As acts of random violence increase, the sphere of freedom contracts whether it is your private home, office, a retail store, or public areas and institutions. A fast growing and rapidly changing world has created a greater demand over access and security issues. For example cameras, digital video recorders, hidden spy camras, wireless nanny cams and monitoring.

What should I spend my money on to have some fun

What should I spend money on to have some fun
I spend most of my money on clothes shopping and my school material. If you see the other side of the Women all women love to do shopping. In women list shopping comes on the top of the list. If I want to spend my money I would buy everything that I love and I always want it to buy. And I want to see the world and travel everywhere in the world. I like to learn all about different culture and different religion. And I would like to spend my money by giving money to charity. So it helps some poor kids and people to survive because in this world so many people don’t have enough money to survive. And for the kids they can’t attend a school because of the money. So this how I spend my money on to have fun.

Obama and Human Rights

Obama and Human Rights Continuity and change
President Barack Obama’s election produced great optimism for progress on human rights. Obama’s election campaign had championed human rights and expressly rejected the worst excess of the “War on Terror” which, over a period lasting longer than the Second World War, has embraced authorized torture, secret prisons and extraordinary rendition. Obama initially acted swiftly and decisively in attempting to restore US human rights credibility. On his second day he issued executive orders rejecting torture, announcing the closure.
I think he did better job changing the human rights and it’d good for the Women too because they always have to fight for their own rights. Some other countries they still have to fight for their own rights. And they torture women a lot.  In past year they used to killed daughter when they born so I think it’s really good for women and daughter both that he changed the Human Rights.
